ENT645 Wk2 – Ideal Client

When starting a business it is important to understand your Ideal Client. These are the clients that you feel align with your company and product/service offerings. While a business may have many clients, the Ideal Clients allow for improved growth and partnership.

Defining the Ideal Client has been broken into four focus areas:

  • Demographics
  • Geographics
  • Psychographics
  • Behaviorgraphics

The four focus areas combined provide a description of the Ideal Client for your business. While some information may be less specific in the beginning, the information is continually evolving. A business should regularly visit their definitions around an Ideal Client to ensure they remain valid. Over time the changes in your business may drive a new Ideal Client, which may alter marketing and sales activities.
